Est. 1927 by Marigold opened Wednesday, August 21 at the Speed Art Museum (2035 S. 3rd St. in Old Louisville), replacing Wiltshire at The Speed, the museum’s former food service and catering operator. The museum itself sets the table.
Welcome to est. 1927 by Marigold!
The Speed Art Museum is now the setting of a new in-house culinary gem. est. 1927 by Marigold will open on August 21 and offer elevated comfort food for its guests, University of Louisville students, faculty, and staff, and those simply yearning for a new food experience in Old Louisville.
The café’s name is a nod to the Museum’s opening date and its integral relationship to Louisville, the Commonwealth, and the world. The new cafe will be operated by Adrienne and Kris Cole, the husband-and-wife team behind Marigold Catering Co. and the House of Marigold restaurant on Shelbyville Road in Louisville, KY. Kris will serve as the restaurant’s culinary director and chef while Adrienne will oversee all front-of-house operations. The Company is also the Museum’s exclusive catering partner.
