The Apple website main page tonight says it all: “Steve Jobs 1955-2011”.
For those of you reading this post on an Apple product we owe a debt of gratitude to the creativity, brilliance and vision of Steve Jobs. Even those of you reading this on a PC or other technology platform can see a small part of Steve’s vision in front of you.
Because of the advances made by Steve at Apple and the competition it created our world has become smaller, more informed enjoyable and in the palm of our hands.
Many words will be written about Steve Jobs and the contributions he made on so many levels. I never met Steve Jobs but I wish I had a chance to just shake hands with this visionary! In addition to his technology talents I will always remember that Steve Jobs followed his dream. Even when turned away by the company he created, Steve persisted, changed direction, forged on and came back to that same company to change the world.
imac, ipod, iphone, ipad and countless other technology advances already in service and some about to launch. icloud is around the corner, the new voice activated assistant “Siri “ is in Beta test mode and surely there will be more, they were all his babies! Steve Jobs will be compared to many others who changed the world. He is our generations Einstein, Galileo and even Benjamin Franklin. We’re all a little better, a little happier a little more content with life thanks to Steve Jobs. He changed the world and he will be missed.
I will send this post in an e-mail to Apple. They are creating a website with similar posts. If you have some thoughts about Steve Jobs, post them below and send them to: Rememberingsteve@apple.com.
