Texas de Brazil, not to be confused with Texas Roadhouse, “That Little Ol’ Band from Texas” (ZZ Top) or Walker, Texas Ranger, was founded by Lebanese immigrant Salim Asrawi and has more than 50 locations nationwide.

According to the website, “We are an authentic Brazilian steakhouse as bold as Texas. That’s why all of our meats are cooked the gaucho way – over an open flame with natural wood charcoal.”

The page at Facebook offers greater detail: “Texas de Brazil is a churrascaria, or Brazilian steakhouse, that features several cuts of flame-grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage as well as an extravagant salad area with a wide array of seasonal chef-crafted items.”

Duly noted. Readers are invited to make of the preceding as they will, in preparation for the advent of Texas de Brazil in Louisville. Take it away, Amanda Hancock (at the Louisville Courier Journal).
