Turns out that Tears for Fears was mistaken. Everybody does not want to rule the world; rather, they just want to open a coffee shop. Make no mistake: coffee’s a better idea.
At Louisville Business First, Olivia Estright tells the story of a new coffee shop in Southern Indiana: “The Adventurer’s Grind is located at 7745 IN-62, Charlestown, across from the northern part of the River Ridge Commerce Center.”
Owner Kyle Calloway is an indie operator who has chosen to eschew the corporate world and is looking to source his coffees and teas from local roasters and blenders, and to pour his own spirit into his creation. Heaven knows we could use some old-school, real-world adventure amid the current tsunami of AI cosplay make-believe.
Go get ’em, Kyle. Estright writes:
(Calloway) combined his love for the outdoors with his love for tabletop games to create the shop’s signature lattes, like Rose Island Revenant, a blackberry, rose and white chocolate latte named after the abandoned amusement park in Charlestown. The Knobstone Wanderer, a maple and pecan latte, was named after Indiana’s 60-mile hiking trail.
The Adventurer’s Grind’s business hours are 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mon. – Fri., and 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sat.
