The Cottage Inn’s approaching comeback tale

For the Comings & Goings department in the current quarterly print issue of Food & Dining Magazine, which is available now at the usual physical locations as well as from issuu, I wrote these words.

The Cottage Inn’s fried chicken livers and Salisbury steak are “86-ed” since the end of its lengthy residency (founded 1929!) at 570 Eastern Parkway. The building and components are now for sale, “turnkey.” Got a half-million? You’re in.

The Cottage Inn is coming back! What we know about its grand reopening

New owners have bought the Cottage Inn, 570 Eastern Parkway, and plan to reopen in January with the same menu and even the same cook.

“The vision is to bring back the old Cottage Inn,” said co-owner Kevin Trice, who purchased the Bradley neighborhood staple with his wife, Daniela Trice. “It’s great the way it is. You don’t change something when it’s great.”
