The Falls City taproom is reverting to Parlour-lessness

As the gyrational Welsh singer Tom Jones once observed, “it’s not unusual.”

Bearing this in mind, when you’re scrolling Facebook, and you see this…

Big news from Falls City. The Falls City Taproom is officially reopening, and we’re hiring a Tap Room Lead to help lead the experience and bring the space back to life.

…your first thought should be this:

Okay, but what happened to the Parlour Pizza that came to the taproom space in January, 2024?

This also is of interest to inquiring minds: “bring the space back to life,” which sure sounds like a backhanded dig to these seasoned (read: cynical) ears. So, having been told that “whoever asks receives,” I asked, and received a prompt answer.

My point? No digs, backhanded or otherwise. An entity’s chess pieces are intended to be moved around the board.

The only uncertainty in the preceding is what the reconstituted taproom at Falls City will resemble. There is a taproom template of...Read more
