The Service Station is coming soon to Old Louisville

This could be the story of my life: something’s on the way, but it’s not here quite yet, so kick back and relax while the pieces fall into place.

Here’s the pitch, courtesy of the World Wide Web.

The Service Station was born from a love for Louisville’s past and a vision for its future. Kendell Sheppard and Kevin Brackens, both passionate about food, community, and history, have transformed this former fueling station into a gathering place for all. Here, you’ll find familiar Southern flavors reimagined, a lively late-night scene, and a welcoming space for everyone.

There was an opening date projection at Facebook, and a bit more information. 208 E. Burnett Ave. appears to have a history as a bar; it also appears in need of extensive renovation, which is usually the reason well-intentioned predictions pass by the wayside.

The Service Station sounds very interesting, and we’ll keep watching for further developments.
