Chef Annie Pettry hosts fellow contestants for Beats & Eats event in the Cellar Lounge
 
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 17, 2017) – – – Chef Annie Pettry will host fellow competitors from last season’s Top Chef: Charleston for a special Beats & Eats event in the Cellar Lounge at Decca Friday, May 5 from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Revelers can mingle with Katsuji Tanabe, Gerald Sombright, season winner Brooke Williamson and other surprise guests while enjoying old-school hip-hop music from DJ Ryan Rugger, drink specials and a one-night-only late-night menu of the chefs’ favorite snacks, all under $10. The Derby Eve event is free to attend.
 
Decca
Pettry competed on the most recent season of Top Chef filmed in Charleston, S.C. in the summer of 2016. She invited her friends and fellow contestants to attend the Kentucky Derby and celebrate the best of Kentucky at her restaurant during their stay. Top Chef fans will be able to chat with their favorite contestants and enjoy affordable food and drinks at this special event. Each visiting chef will design an item on the menu of bar foods, hangover helpers, and crave-worthy snacks.
 
Tucked in the basement of bustling NuLu restaurant Decca, the Cellar Lounge is a Louisville cocktail and music haven. With a focus on seasonality, the Cellar Lounge uses fresh-squeezed juices and house-made syrups and tinctures mixed with spirits from small-batch distilleries for expertly-crafted cocktails. Guests can eat and enjoy the full bar menu as well as the infamous “Five Dolla Holla,” a shot of bourbon and a can of beer for $5. Additional drink specials include select $5 draft beer and house wine and $6 Old Fashioned and Vodka Gimlet cocktails. The Top Chef-inspired late-night snack menu will be announced closer to the event.
