Top of the Tasty Ten

The votes are in---and no, I'm not talking about the Republican primaries. I'm talking about Southern Living's contest for the tastiest town in the South.  It should come as no surprise that among the foodie towns south of the Mason-Dixie line, Louisville is at the head of the pack. With the Hot Brown consecrated as the crown jewel of our ingenious and soulful culinary heritage, an astounding capacity to infuse anything with bourbon, and a steady surge in delicious farm-to-table dining, Louisville is poised to take the win. [caption id="attachment_9838" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Hot Brown!"] [/caption] According to Mayor Greg Fischer's staff, Louisville was neck-and-neck with Lafayette, LA in the last days of the contest, which ended Jan. 31. Other contenders include Birmingham, Houston, Baltimore, Raleigh, Charleston, Decatur and the Big Easy itself! Some tough competition---but nevertheless, my money is on Louisville!
