LOUISVILLE, KY – February 21, 2020 – USA Cares’ Development Director, Heather Moses, is preparing to display her skills on the dance floor to raise funds for USA Cares!
For the last 12 weeks, Heather and several other community members have trained with professional dance instructors from Derby City Ballroom, while also raising funds and awareness for a Louisville-based non-profit of their choosing. On Sunday, March 1, the public is invited to watch Heather and her co-competitors dance their hearts out to win recognition for their charities and the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
Couples will be competing in the ’50s themed contest on Sunday, March 1, at Bill Collins Ford on Bardstown Road. Heather has chosen USA Cares as her charity of choice and donations can be made online at her official Dancing with the Prospect Stars donation page at http://bit.ly/danceusa.
USA Cares’ mission is to provide post-9/11 military veterans, service members, and their families with emergency financial assistance and post-service skills training to create a foundation for long-term stability. By providing these vital services within 48 hours of the initial request and at no cost to the recipient, USA Cares improves the quality of life for veterans and their families and can reduce many potential factors that can contribute to veteran suicide.
Last year’s Dancing with the Prospect Stars raised more than $70,000 for ten different charities in the Louisville region. This year’s event features a 1950’s theme, and spectators are invited to dress up for the occasion! Spectator tickets can be purchased online through the official Dancing with the Prospect Stars website. For press inquiries, contact Aubrey Gonzalez at 800-773-0387 ext. 137 or aubrey@usacares.org.
