Last week at Louisville Business First, our friend and former co-worker Michael L. Jones reported that a ShopBar successor is on the way (opening date TBA).
Deli to replace ShopBar on Barret Avenue
Web and Honey will be located at 950 Barret Ave., near Ultra Pop and the Glow Worm Café and Play. The deli is being launched by Melissa Ann Culton, the former co‑owner of Bluegrass Pizza & Pub in Danville, Kentucky.
Web and Honey is taking over a space previously occupied by ShopBar, a bar and boutique that closed in June 2025 after six years in business…Culton said she plans to use the property for both restaurant and retail operations, with a focus on grab‑and‑go food options.
The forthcoming Web and Honey, which will be situated on the Germantown side of the neighborhood “line” with the Original Highlands, is not to be confused with Helm & Honey, the latter recently opened at 1359 Bardstown Rd. in the space formerly occupied by La Chasse.
