Local media outlets have reported a new (combined) bookstore, wine bar and cafe to serve as the anchor for NuLu Marketplace North. It will be known as Yer Mom’s Book & Wine Cafe (read why here), doing business at 814 E. Main St. in NuLu (for once, as “NuLu” actually is delineated).
The web site is up, but the actual opening date is yet to be determined. Until more is known, here’s an excerpt.

Connection is a cornerstone of Louisville – our city lives comfortably between grit and grace, tradition and reinvention, art and industry share the same streets. Conversation still matters.
Despite all our digital connection, we often miss each other’s individual stories, and sometimes even our own. Sitting with a book is a quiet rebellion against that distance. Pair it with a glass of wine—something ancient, agricultural, shaped by soil and weather—and the room starts to hum. People linger. They talk.
