Your favorite chefs pay it forward at the 10 Taste Salute (Oct. 12, 2025)

As a preface, here at Food & Dining Magazine we help spread the word about APRON Inc. as often as possible.

APRON Inc. was created in 2011 to help provide financial relief to food and beverage industry workers in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area who find themselves in need during times of crises.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, APRON Inc. has stepped up with a far greater volume of assistance to local workers than ever before. In all, $1.25 million in grants have been distributed to more than 1,200 employees from more than 180 restaurants.

“We are immensely proud of the help we were able to give back to our community, and are humbled beyond words at the immense community, corporate, and foundation support we received throughout the past few years.”

On Sunday, October 12 APRON Inc. honors its 14th birthday with the 10-Taste Salute Gala, an event to be held at The Olmsted (3701 Frankfort Avenue).

The Program

  •  5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Happy Hour
  •  6:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Dinner and celebration
  • Master of Ceremonies – Dawne Gee of WAVE-3 television

Chefs Josh Moore and Dallas McGarity lead a powerhouse team of chefs in crafting a one-night-only dining experience in the form of a multi-course tasting menu, each dish thoughtfully created by some of Louisville’s finest local chefs — showcasing their unique talent, signature style, and shared passion for exceptional food.

Complementing each course, a team of local bartenders will create custom cocktails, featuring standout spirits. adding an elevated touch to every bite.

Throughout the evening, Team APRON — alongside our honorary emcee Dawne Gee — will guide guests through a night of giving, including a live auction, raffle, and powerful stories from some of the heroes we’ve supported over the past fourteen years.
