The Zoo honors LouisvilleKY teachers this month

July at the Zoo Teacher Tuesdays, Movie Night and Water Wows

 

 Louisville, KY., – Teachers will receive general admission free on Tuesday, July 11, 18 and 25. Teacher Tuesdays is presented by Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky as part of the Backyard Action Hero Program. Teachers can use this opportunity to explore the Zoo while finding endless opportunities for student learning during the upcoming school year. Those teachers who visit the registration table from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. will receive a Teacher Resource Goodie Bag and can enter our raffle for a free class field trip. Friday, July 21

Great Clips Friday Night Movie Series

Featuring: Moana

Oasis Field opens at 6 p.m.; movie begins at sundown

Enjoy a movie under the stars at the wildest theater in town. Watch your favorite movies on our giant inflatable screen.  Visit the Great Clips tent near the stage for special drawings including a $100 gift certificate and fun giveaways. Snacks and other refreshments will be available for purchase. Don’t forget to pack your blanket or lawn chairs.  Movie nights are FREE to Zoo members and with Zoo admission. Admission is just $5 per person after 5 p.m. for non-members.

Saturday, July 22

WATER WOWS with our friends at the Louisville Water Company

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Learn how important water is to us and to life on planet Earth. The Louisville Water Company will have several stations set up throughout the Zoo full of fun hands-on activities and information perfect for kids. Louisville Water Company mascot Tapper will be making appearances throughout the day. Be sure to bring your camera!
