The Music of David Bowie A tribute to a musical legend

Louisville KY (December 1, 2016)… The life and music of iconic rock star, the late David Bowie, will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 8pm at the Kentucky Center. The Louisville Orchestra will perform hits from his 40 plus years of diverse music making for what would have been his 70th birthday and the first year anniversary of the rock stars death. The Music of David Bowie, with lead singer Tony Vincent and conductor, Brent Havens takes you on a symphonic odyssey that pays tribute to the legendary musician and epic storyteller David Bowie.

The genius of David Bowie’s innovative range of musical styles influenced multiple generations of groundbreaking music. Berklee-trained arranger/conductor Brent Havens has written music for orchestras, feature films and virtually every kind of television. Havens has been a Louisville Orchestra staple since 2008 conducting Music of Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, The Who, and Pink Floyd.

Tony Vincent makes his Louisville debut singing the works of legendary David Bowie. Vincent has performed in RENT, Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You, and American Idiot. He is best known for his appearance on the second season of NBC’s reality singing competition, The Voice.www.tonyvincent.com
