Louisville, Ky., – Join Churchill Downs this Saturday night (June 27) to close the most historic Spring Meet in 37 years with a bang at “Downs After Dark” presented by Stella Artois and Finlandia Vodka.
Guests are encouraged to break out their best cowboy and cowgirl duds to celebrate Saturday’s Boots, Brew & BBQ theme while they enjoy draft beer, specialty cocktails, BBQ food trucks and 11 races, including four marquee stakes events.
Nashville music artist Justin Adams will bring his high energy country-meets-rock ‘n’ roll performance to the Plaza, where guests can also test their staying power on a mechanical bull.
Bet or No Bet presented by Thorntons will give a lucky fan in each of Races 6-9 the chance to win a $1,000 wager on the Horse of their choice or walk away with a $100 Thorntons’ gift card.
The night’s racing will feature the $200,000 Firecracker Stakes (Grade II); the $100,000 Bashford Manor (GIII); the $100,000 Debutante; and the $70,000-added Kelly’s Landing overnight stakes.
Tickets are still available for the new Courtyard, where fans 21 and over can see the action up close in a picnic-like area along the track’s homestretch. Courtyard tickets include draft beer and wine, small plates and an official racing program.
